I would just go for it! Especially if you are sick of the dark wood & you love the beachy look! You will love it! Your bed looks unbelievably comfy. I wish I could lay down it it & take a nap.. didn't sleep well last night! If you do paint it make sure you show us the outcome!! :)

Not generally a fan of all-white but I think it works beautifully in a coastal bedroom. Love the idea of pink accents -- I'd maybe veer towards coral to keep it a bit more sophisticated though.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I agree Averill coral and pink can work if it's the right shade..i do have a lot of turquoise and aqua and pale blues so I like to make sure it works with those blue tones which coral would be a sophisticated choice..thanks so much for your help ...you are the best Fairy Blog mother EVER...check your email i sent to you..suzanne

I love all the inspiration pics you've posted but especially the first one and the one with the blue basket at the foot of the bed. I say go ahead and paint if you are ready for a change and over dark wood. You have to do what makes you happy and I'm sure whatever you choose for your bedroom will look fabulous!! Can't wait to see what you go with... x

Let's see the pics when you are all finished!!!

I personally LOVE white furniture so I say YES to the white!! I think you can easily pull in your turquoise, too. Maybe the dresser in turquoise & the bed in a pretty white. You may have to paint the wall behind your bed a deeper color to make the white bed pop! Pull the other colors out of those pillows & you are good to go! Also, I saw a beautiful tutorial on doing turquoise & a white overlayment: Go here to see it:http://www.frugaldesigner.com ~go to her April 3, 2010 post.

Also, you will love everything from this California girl, Kate, http://www.centsationalgirl.com/ & her latest post is on painted furniture~lucky you!

You are one talented chica & I love your bedroom, as is!! The other pics are fab, too!! Except that one with the topiaries on the headboard. That would hurt if it fell!! Those silly photographers~what were they thinkin'??? Talk soon!

GORGEOUS pictures!!! You have a different kind of light over there, much brighter than here, I think white looks so amazing.

I think you should go for it, I think you've already made up your mind :)

Happy Week-end!

I would do either white, distressed white or match the fan colour. thanks for the tip of ralph lauren...i'm trying so hard to find the time to enjoy fashion again but it's not happening....and no i avoid sleep at every possible moment :)

i'm fiddling with a header and button at the moment....not sure if i'll do a button because i like to change my blog around each season....seeing as i still have no house to decorate!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and following me. :) I'm now a follower of your blog too!

I love this post, so many beautiful photos. *sigh*

I enjoyed reading your profile and like the relaxed feeling of your blog. I have always lived of dreaming in a beach house by the sea. When I first met my husband I told him about my dream to start an online beach house decor shop. You're in FL too!

Looking forward to reading more...
